Workplace Rules
All employees working with Nova Painting & Remodeling LLC must comply with the following workplace rules at all times.
NO SMOKING POLICY
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around all properties where work is being performed.
- This includes client homes, business properties, and company vehicles.
- Smoking is not permitted within visual distance of any client property.
PUNCTUALITY REQUIREMENT
- All employees must arrive at designated work sites at or before the scheduled start time.
- Arriving ready to work means having all necessary tools, equipment, and personal protective gear prepared.
- Excessive tardiness will result in termination of the contracting relationship.
PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE
- Employees must be dressed appropriately at all times on job sites.
- Company shirts must be worn during all working hours.
- Clothing must be clean, well-maintained, and appropriate for the work being performed.
NO SIDE DEALINGS
- Employees are strictly prohibited from entering into side deals or arrangements with homeowners, clients, or business owners.
- All work must be conducted through Nova Painting & Remodeling LLC official channels.
- Soliciting clients for personal work outside of company projects is grounds for immediate termination of the contracting relationship.
MANDATORY BREAK POLICY
- All employees must take their designated breaks during each workday. Choose ONE of the following break schedules:
- (A) One hour lunch break
- (B) Two thirty-minute breaks
- (C) Four 15-minute breaks
- Working through breaks is not permitted.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENT
- Street clothes are not permitted on job sites.
- Company-issued shirts or approved work attire must be worn at all times.
- Proper work boots/shoes and required PPE must be worn as appropriate for the task.
PHONE USAGE RESTRICTION
- Personal phone calls are only permitted during designated breaks or lunch periods.
- Work-related calls are permitted as necessary to complete job requirements.
MUSIC POLICY
- Music may only be listened to using headphones.
- Volume must be kept at a level where you can hear others speaking to you.
- Headphones must be removed when speaking with clients or supervisors.
SUBSTANCE POLICY
- Employees must report to work completely sober.
- Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs during work hours is strictly prohibited.
- Random drug and alcohol testing may be conducted in accordance with state law.
- Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of the contracting relationship.
WORK REQUEST AUTHORIZATION
- If asked by a client to perform work outside the original work order or scope, employees must obtain explicit confirmation from project manager before proceeding.
- No additional work should be promised or performed without proper authorization.
This acknowledgment becomes part of your employment record with Nova Painting & Remodeling LLC.
